Scholar Athlete banquet recognizes 30 honorees throughout the school year

It was a night of celebration here at News 12 headquarters in Beth Page tonight. Our annual Scholar Athlete end of the Year banquet recognizing the 30 honorees who we highlighted throughout the school year. They got a tour of the studios and each of the student athletes was recognized on stage. All of the winners receiving a $1000 scholarship from Bethpage Federal Credit Union. And we asked a few for their advice for next year's batch of potential honorees make the most of the time that you have left. Reach out and say hi to people that you normally wouldn't say hi to or, you know, little little greetings like that. I don't know, just have a smile on your face, really have fun. Like try to like, it's like the last time you'll ever be in high school and a little immature. So just enjoy it. It goes by really fast. I would just say, be patient. Like, don't give up, don't let senior writers get to you maybe until like after a ps you know, make sure you get those grades in before the senioritis hits.
