Commuters using the Mineola train station saw some changes Monday morning.
The LIRR says there were no eastbound trains between 5 a.m. and 10 a.m.
Afternoon train service in both directions was also reduced.
Bus service from Hicksville replaced all affected
trains.
The LIRR
says the service changes were needed to complete the next section of its new
third track.
