Dry for most of Friday ahead of rainy weekend

Expect a few scattered showers through 2 p.m. and highs near 60 degrees.

News 12 Storm Watch Team Meteorologist Samantha Augeri says it will be dry for most of Friday before periods of rain over the weekend.
NOW: Skies are finally clearing with a nice quiet night coming up. Friday will be dry with increasing clouds before rain arrives at night.
NEXT: Tracking rounds of rain for the weekend. The first batch gets here Friday night into Saturday, with rain for much of the day especially during the morning and early afternoon. The next batch arrives late Sunday afternoon into Early Monday morning. Rain totals through the weekend will be about 1-2 inches. No real big impacts here but it will be a gloomy weekend with damp and breezy conditions.
OVERNIGHT: Mostly clear and nice with lows near 46. Southeast wind 5 to 10 mph. Sunrise: 5:54
FRIDAY: Some early sunshine followed by increasing clouds. Highs near 59. Rain develops Friday night with lows near 47. East winds 10 to 15 mph. Sunset: 7:46
SATURDAY: Cloudy with periods of rain. Highs near 57. Cloudy with a few rain showers at night. Lows near 50.
SUNDAY: Mostly cloudy with rain returning in the late afternoon. Periods of moderate to heavy rain overnight. Breezy with highs near 62. Lows near 50.
MONDAY: Showers end in the morning with sun and clouds for the afternoon. Breezy and seasonable with highs near 63. Lows near 46.
