Sayville High School has canceled the remainder of the boys varsity soccer season due to hazing
In a letter to parents, the superintendent said an internal investigation found that team members participated in “violent and humiliating acts of hazing against younger teammates.”
He says it happened off campus.
Further details of the incident have not been released.
The superintendent said incidents on past teams involved racism and antisemitism, but that was not the case in this incident.
