The owner of a baked goods supply company denies claims she sent a fast-food donut in a recent delivery to a vegan market.

Michelle Siriani says claims made on Instagram by Cindysnacks in Huntington are false. Siriani insists the donuts she makes are both vegan and gluten-free.

In a viral post, Cindysnacks wrote the Patchogue-based supplier had sent a donut that resembled pastries from a popular fast-food coffee shop. The donut was determined to have contained gluten upon testing.

The New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets is conducting a full investigation. A spokesperson for the department says it has received several complaints about Savory Fig.

The owners of Cindysnacks did not comment. The owner of Savory Fig did not respond to requests for an on-camera interview.
