For decades, Saint Michael the Archangel Church has been a gathering place for the Polish American community in Bridgeport and beyond.
The church is collecting medicine and medical supplies to ship to the Poland-Ukraine border.
A hundred boxes now fill the Parish Hall.
Catholic Charities of Fairfield County was among the organizations helping the donation efforts.
A big donation from the retailer Zumiez also helped Catholic Charities to ship 2,000 pounds of clothes to Ukraine.
