Sachem superintendent announces retirement from district effective this summer
Superintendent Dr. Christopher J. Pellettieri wrote in part, “As I reflect on my time here, I am filled with gratitude for the opportunity to witness the growth and development of so many young minds. Over the years, I have had the pleasure of observing their dedication, resilience, and achievements both inside and outside the classroom.”

The superintendent of the Sachem Central School District announced Thursday that he will be retiring from his position.
Superintendent Dr. Christopher J. Pellettieri emailed the school community stating that his retirement from the district will be effective on July 31, 2024.
Pellettieri wrote in part, “As I reflect on my time here, I am filled with gratitude for the opportunity to witness the growth and development of so many young minds. Over the years, I have had the pleasure of observing their dedication, resilience, and achievements both inside and outside the classroom.”
