Sachem Central School District officials say they have brought in another bus company to help with the bus driver shortage that has caused transportation issues.
The company Orange County started routes on Wednesday.
Bus problems have been happening since the start of school and parents say some kids were still not picked up by buses this week. Buses for the district are provided by We Transport.
School officials tell News 12 in a statement that they will "continue to address these extremely important issues until a final resolution is in place."
Another school district on Long Island is also dealing with a bus driver shortage. The Levittown School District sent a letter to parents Wednesday saying it has enlisted the help of We Transport bus company amid a driver shortage. The school's superintendent said there have been challenges in communicating with families about transportation issues and apologized.
