A new effort is underway in the Roosevelt Union Free School District to make reading fun for kids.
The district unveiled a free book exchange at Washington Rose Elementary School.
It's part of a districtwide partnership with the Little Free Library that is geared toward expanding book access across the country.
The book exchange encourages students and visitors to drop off their favorite books and browse the selection to find their next read.
The book library is located outside the main entrance of the school.
