A Rockville Centre native is being inducted as part of the 2019 class of the Professional Wrestling Hall of Fame.
Brian Shields tells News 12 that he spent his life watching, researching and writing about pro wrestling.

The Holy Trinity and Adelphi graduate once received the Jim Melby Award, that honors wrestling journalists and historians.

Shields has also written historical books and biographies for WWE, including a New York Times bestselling WWE Encyclopedia.
