A retired correction officer will receive a $150,000 settlement after being falsely arrested back in 2016.
Ronald Lanier says he was in a Mineola food store when he was grabbed from behind by two Garden City police officers, handcuffed, tossed to the ground and attacked.
Officials say police were actually looking for Stephen Wilson, who allegedly stole designer handbags from Lord & Taylor.
Court documents reveal the officers and police department did not admit to any wrongdoing.
