Third District residents traveled to Capitol Hill Tuesday to call for Rep. George Santos to be removed from office.
Around 50 Long Islanders traveled to Washington, D.C. to deliver a petition to House Speaker Kevin McCarthy and to call on lawmakers to remove Santos from office.
The group Concerned Citizens of Congressional District 3 says it wants to send the message that it is aggravated with its representation in Congress.
"We are disgusted, we are tired of this circus - this lack of representation, this lack of constituent services and we are going to keep making noise and fighting until Santos is held accountable," says Cassie Sabella.
The Long Island group held a news conference on the steps of Capitol Hill and dropped signed petitions to key House Republicans.
Members of Concerned Citizens of Congressional District 3 say they hope their trip to the nation's capital will hammer home the message that they don't want Santos representing them.
