Taxpayers in the Wyandanch Union Free School District approved a $46 million bond Tuesday evening.

The vote allows the district to go ahead with plans to build a new Early Childhood Learning Center.

Repair work and renovations will also be done at some of the district's schools, which will make the buildings compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act.

The projects will be funded through state aid and reserve funds. That means that residents will not be footing the bill.
