Rep. Mike Lawler took the stage at Rockland Community College on Sunday night for his first Town Hall meeting of 2026.

The Town Hall was his fourth since he took office in 2023.

Lawler discussed a wide range of topics, including the economy, the SALT cap, and housing prices. But immigration was one of the biggest talking points among the attendees.

"I fundamentally believe that if you've ever been in this country five, 10, 15, 20 years, and you have not committed a crime and you are participating in the workforce, and your children or your grandchildren, maybe American citizens, we should create a legal pathway forward," Lawler said.

Town Hall meetings are also in the works for Westchester, Putnam and Dutchess counties.
