Remnants of Laura bring periods of rain, chance of storms through the evening
The remnants of Hurricane Laura made for a soggy Saturday on Long Island, with periods of rain through the day and a chance for some thunderstorms this evening.
News 12 meteorologists say we could see some scattered pop-up storms through the evening. Any storms could pack the chance for gusty winds and lightning.
Overnight, it will be mostly cloudy and breezy with scattered showers and lows around 66 degrees. The wind will be SW/NW at 10-18 mph.
Showers are expected to gradually end overnight leading into Sunday. The rest of the weekend is expected to be breezy and sunny.
