Your job, your spouse, your kids, other life challenges – they all cause stress. Health experts say de-stressing can be life-saving.
At Moonflower Yoga in Bellmore, instructor Nancy Weshkoff says it's all about being in the moment.  Through breathing and movements you learn to relax your body and your mind.

Weshkoff came from a high powered, high stress, 24/7 career in the corporate world, and she had high blood pressure. She says she opened the studio to spread her message.
“Community is very important to me. I didn't want it to just be about yoga.  I wanted it to be about people finding a place where they can come to de-stress from their regular life,” said Weshkoff.

At the yoga studio, instructors teach yoga, but classes are also offered in mah jong, canasta, knitting, jewelry making and cooking.
