In a letter to the community, Kevin Dougherty
said June 30 will be his last day as principal at Elmont Memorial High School.
The announcement comes after the beloved
principal suddenly went on leave just before the start of the school year.
Dougherty was reinstated in October, but no details were given on why he
stepped away.
