The Rainbow Diner on White Plains Road is closing its doors Wednesday night, after serving Bronx residents for nearly five decades.
It was a hard decision to close, but owners Alexander and George Arsenis say inflation and their rent being doubled forced them to make this choice.
On their last day open, they expressed gratitude to the neighbors who've supported them.
"My father has been living in the area since he opened the place. I grew up in the area, it's a very underrated area, a wonderful, a lot of good people in this area,” says Alexander.
