The woman, Valerie Owusu, is the child's mother.
She and her boyfriend, Emmanuel Addae, were found guilty of beating Owusu's son, King, three years ago.
The couple beat the child from head to toe and let him suffer for days.
Prosecutors say instead of taking King to a doctor, prosecutors say the couple left him at a relative's Brentwood home, where he died of his injuries.
