Quanta files lawsuit against electric grid management negotiations between PSEG Long Island, LIPA

LIPA’s own internal committee strongly recommended Quanta to take over. However, LIPA’s Board of Trustees opted to renew its contract with PSEG Long Island in April instead.

Quanta has filed a lawsuit seeking to block LIPA’s current negotiations with PSEG Long Island.

This comes after the Texas-based company’s bid to manage the electric grid was rejected. They say LIPA’s decision was unlawful.

LIPA’s own internal committee strongly recommended Quanta to take over. However, LIPA’s Board of Trustees opted to renew its contract with PSEG Long Island in April instead.

LIPA says it does not comment on active litigation.
