A public forum will be held in Locust Valley Wednesday evening over the controversial plan to build a Cross-Sound tunnel from Long Island’s North Shore.
As News 12 has previously reported, Gov. Andrew Cuomo resurrected the idea of an 18-mile tunnel from Syosset to the Rye/Port Chester area.
Critics site environmental concerns, and say the shoreline in Bayville could be dominated by 10-story high tunnel ventilation towers.
Supporters say it would reduce traffic and create jobs.
The meeting will be held at Locust Valley High School at 7 p.m.
