PSEG Long Island says it is prepared for the ice and gusty winds that could weigh down power lines and break tree branches.
“We’ve implemented new technology to detect power outages earlier and lessen restoration times,” says Elizabeth Flagler of PSEG.
She says the utility has been trimming trees throughout the year away from the power lines in preparation for storms.
Residents can report downed power lines or outages by calling 1-800-490-0075 or by texting “OUT” to PSEGLI.
