The Hicksville Long Island Rail Road station is back up and running after it spent hours in the dark Saturday.
Passengers at the station were in the dark for several hours in the afternoon and into the evening, around 8 p.m.
LIRR workers had to help people safely navigate on and off the trains, and up and down the stairs.
PSEG Long Island told News 12 that three poles near the station were damaged, causing the outage. It says high winds caused six sections of wires to come down.
The LIRR says power was fully restored to the station on Saturday after 10 p.m.
The power outage did not impact train service, according to an MTA spokesperson.
