A 29-year-old man from Howell was killed in a shooting in Newark Tuesday night.
The Essex County Prosecutor’s Office identified the victim as Tyquane Steed.
Officials say the shooting happened just before 9 p.m. on the 900 block of South 16th Street. They say that Steed was found inside a home on that street suffering from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead a short time later.
Officials did not provide any details about a possible suspect. No arrests have been made.
