The first presidential debate between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump has generated an abundance of excitement among Hofstra University students.
The debate will be held 9 p.m. Monday on campus at the David Mack Sports Complex.
More than 800 students signed up to volunteer for 500 debate jobs.
Other students were lucky enough to win tickets to watch the debate from the David Mack Arena.
"This is possibly one of the biggest debates in history," says student Marco Meglio. "A lot of controversial stuff is going on, so it's huge that I have the opportunity to experience it firsthand."
Hofstra is the first university in the United States to host three consecutive cycles of presidential debates.
