Preps are underway across Long Island ahead of this weekend’s storm.

PSEG Long Island contractors were out proactively trimming trees all across Long Island to prevent power outages.

PSEG LI is monitoring the track of the storm and says a full team is ready to respond and will safely restore any lost power as soon as conditions allow.

News 12 was also in the Town of Huntington this morning, where they say they are prepared for whatever happens this weekend. According to officials, their salt barns are filled to the top and their equipment is ready to go.

The town says it has nearly 900 miles of road to cover, with more than 200 employees ready to go with equipment.
