Dozens of firearms are off the street in Dutchess County thanks to a gun buyback event hosted by Attorney General Letitia James.
People turned in 48 weapons at Saturday's buyback event in Poughkeepsie.
The event collected 14 long guns, 19 handguns, 12 non-working guns and three assault rifles.
Those who brought in their firearms were given prepaid gift cards in exchange for the unloaded gun.
