Port Jefferson became a winter wonderland Sunday as a part of their Charles Dickens Festival.
The festival turns the village into a living storybook, with people running around providing holiday greetings, singing and taking in the multitude of things the event has to offer.
The festival celebrates the author known for many of his works, including “A Christmas Carol” and “A Tale of Two Cities.”
Attendees could place themselves in a place of holiday cheer with Santa, or with one of Dickens’ most well-known characters, Ebenezer Scrooge.
Mayor Margot Garant was among those in attendance and getting in the holiday spirit.
