Police say a woman was robbed in the parking lot of a Chase Bank in Riverhead Friday night.

They say it happened at the branch on Peconic Avenue around 6 p.m.

Police say the woman was getting into her car after leaving the bank when a man with a knife demanded her purse.

She handed it over, and the suspect took off.
