investigating a motorcycle crash that left 46-year-old Denise Chotalal
seriously injured.
Police say the incident happened a
little before 7 p.m. Saturday as 49-year-old Robert Ayala was riding his 2021
Yamaha westbound on the Long Island Expressway near Old Nichols Road.
Chotalal, from Jamaica, Queens, was
riding on the rear of the motorcycle when she fell off. She was taken to Stony
Brook University to be treated for serious, but not life-threatening injuries.
Ayala was not injured.
Detectives are asking anyone with information
on the crash to call the police.
