A woman accused of driving drunk with a 3-month-old passenger Sunday night in Westbury is facing multiple charges.
Police say they noticed a white Honda with no front license plate traveling northbound on Merrick Avenue just before 12 a.m.
Officers pulled over 22-year-old Michelle Lopez. During the traffic stop, they noticed that she had slurred speech, watery eyes and the odor or alcohol on her breath.
She was arrested after failing a field sobriety test. Police say the infant was released into the custody of a family member.
The charges against Lopez include two counts of driving while intoxicated, aggravated driving while intoxicated, endangering the welfare of a child and multiple traffic infractions.
