Police: Wheatley Heights man arrested for assaulting woman in Garden City Parking lot

A man from Wheatley Heights was arrested for assaulting a woman in a Garden City parking lot on Friday afternoon.
Police say the 68-year-old victim left the Macy’s at the Roosevelt Field Mall at around 5:30 p.m. She was walking to her vehicle when she was approached by 28-year-old Marcus Mcintosh.
Authorities say he hit the back of her head with a hard object. The victim suffered substantial pain and swelling.
Mcintosh was arrested and is set to face a judge on assault charges Saturday.
