A vehicle was shot at in Glen Cove Monday afternoon, police say.

Glen Cove Police say they received a call from residents about a possible shooting on Port Place at around 1 p.m.

When they arrived, shell casings were found at the corner of Porter Place and Doxey Drive.

Police determined that a gray Audi sedan was being chased by a white Lexus and red Honda Accord.

Once the vehicles reached the intersection of Doxey Drive and Porter Place, shots were fired at the gray Audi.

The three cars left the area at a high rate of speed following the shooting.

It is unknown if anyone in the car who was shot at suffered any injuries.

Police say they believe the driver of the gray Audi was targeted.
