A 16-year-old girl was sexually assaulted while riding in an Uber in Newark, according to police.

Police say the teen was on her way to Kipp Lab High School in a shared Uber Monday morning and was touched inappropriately by a man who was the second ride-sharing passenger.

The student’s parent has been notified.
