Police: Teen high on drugs hit, killed 4-year-old in Brentwood

According to police, Christian Yanes was high on drugs when he hit and killed Roussy Cabrera Fuentes on Fulton Street just before 7 p.m. Tuesday.

Police say a teen was high on drugs when he hit and killed a 4-year-old girl in front of her Brentwood home.
According to police, 19-year-old Christopher Yanes, of Brentwood, hit and killed Roussy Cabrera Fuentes on Fulton Street just before 7 p.m. Tuesday.
The little girl was rushed to Southside Hospital where she was pronounced dead.
Yanes was arrested and charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs after police say he admitted to smoking marijuana prior to the incident.
According to the 4-year-old's father, Fuentes and her mother were in front of 29 Fulton St. when a neighbor came by with a dog. The dog ran into the street, and the child followed.
Yanes was released without bail, but a judge ordered he adhere to a 6 p.m. curfew, take part in drug and alcohol testing and must surrender his passport.
Results from Yanes' blood tests are pending. He is due back in court July 28.
