A teenager and two adults were injured in a Riverhead shooting early Friday morning, according to police.
Police say two unknown men entered an apartment at the Riverpoint Apartment Complex on East Main Street around 1:30 a.m. and opened fire. A 15-year-old boy was shot in the stomach and arm, a 46-year-old woman was shot in her knee and a 29-year-old man was shot in both legs.
All three victims were taken to the hospital. Police say all the victims are expected to recover.
Police tell News 12 the 29-year-old was taken to Peconic Bay Medical Center in a private car.
The 15-year-old was taken to Stony Brook University hospital due to his serious injuries.
Police say they do not believe this was a random attack and that at least one of the victims may have been targeted.
News 12 tried to speak with residents of the apartment complex, but they didn't want to comment. The management office was closed.
No arrests have been made, and police say they are still looking for the two gunmen.
Detectives are asking anyone with information about the shooting to call Riverhead police at 631-727-4500.
