A Shirley man accused of stabbing two people at a Patchogue bar Thursday is facing assault charges, according to police.

Authorities say a group of people got into an altercation around 12:20 a.m. at the Village Idiot Pub on East Main Street.

Brandon Weyer is accused of stabbing the two men. Both victims were hospitalized and expected to be OK.
