Police: Shirley knifepoint robbery not linked to pattern
Police say the knifepoint robber behind a series of robberies in Nassau and Suffolk is not behind an early morning holdup in Shirley.
Police responded to a robbery at the 7-Eleven on William Floyd Parkway around 2 a.m.
Police say a man armed with a knife entered the store and demanded cash.
Since February, authorities say another man armed with a large knife or machete has been terrorizing clerks at 16 stores including Subway restaurants and Carvels.
Crime Stoppers is offering up to a $10,000 reward in the case.
