Police are searching for a driver involved in a deadly hit-and-run this past weekend in Brentwood.
The crash happened around 3:15 a.m. Sunday as 56-year-old Fredy Rivera-Bravo was trying to cross Second Avenue.
Police spent hours investigating the scene but have made no arrests and do not have a description of the vehicle involved.
Relatives of Rivera-Bravo, who was a father of three, say they hope the suspect surrenders to police.
"I hope you come forward, whoever you are," says Sissy Rivera, of Brentwood. "I know you have a mother, a father -- you have family. Imagine someone did that to you...you would want the same thing."
"Eventually we will find him," says Angelo Rivera, the victim's 13-year-old son. "And he will be brought to justice."
Authorities ask anyone with information to call Suffolk Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
