A Sayville man was arraigned Thursday after more than 100 images of child pornography were found on his electronic devices, authorities say.
Following a tip from the New York State Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, detectives conducted an investigation into 23-year-old Daniel Forsberg.
Detectives performed the search warrant on his home and arrested him.
Forsberg's attorney, Michael Brown, says his client entered a not guilty plea and denies the allegations.
Court documents show Forsberg said, "I was on Tumblr searching for pictures and videos." He went on to describe one of the videos in graphic detail
At the end of Forsberg's admission, according to court documents, he said, "She was 13."
Forsberg was charged with promoting a sexual performance by a child and possessing a sexual performance by a child, both felonies.
Bail was set at $100,000 cash or $200,000 bond. He is due back in court on March 28.
The investigation is ongoing. Detectives are asking anyone with information on this case to contact the Digital Forensics Unit at 631-852-6279.
