Police responded to serious crash in North Amityville on Sunday.

A man was seriously injured in a crash in North Amityville on Sunday.

Andre-Marcel Devieux, 28, was driving a 2020 Jeep Cherokee southbound on Schleigel Boulevard when he veered into the northbound lanes around 8:30 p.m., Suffolk police say.

Devieux’s vehicle struck a 2016 Volkswagen near Columbus Boulevard.

The driver of the Volkswagen, Henry Foster, 34, of Forest Hills, was taken to the hospital for treatment of serious injuries, according to police.

A female passenger in the Volkswagen was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
