Police respond to barricaded man in East Rockaway

Nassau Police responded to a man barricaded inside a home in East Rockaway Monday afternoon.

The standoff on Scranton Avenue lasted about two hours.

A video sent to News 12 by a viewer shows the man emerge from the house. Police ordered him to the ground, but he kept walking towards them. Police could then be seen deploying a taser, causing the man to fall to the ground.

The man in the video has not been identified by police. Authorities say no arrests have been made and criminality was not involved.
