Police are searching for a possible link between a string of robberies near Hofstra University and three arrests.
Police say the three people were arrested for an armed robbery on Monday.
Investigators are trying to determine if Jamel Williams, Jonathan Chappell and Miriam Khalifah are behind a series of similar crimes.
A total of four Hofstra University students are among 12 people who have been robbed at gunpoint in the area over the last month.
