Suffolk police say the man found dead in an East Shoreham pool last month has been identified as Matthew Zoll – the young man accused of killing his father in Rocky Point.

Authorities say that the man’s body was found under a pool cover at a Pal Court home on May 25. They say the homeowner removed the pool cover and found the man’s body underneath.

Sources confirmed to News 12 that the homeowner of the pool is a detective that took part in the manhunt for Zoll.

In November, Suffolk police said a 911 caller reported a stabbing at 30 Quail Road in Rocky Point. When officers arrived, they found Joseph Zoll, 61, who was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
