Police say that a person died, and several people were injured in a multicar crash in Hempstead on Christmas. 

They say officers were called to the crash, which involved four cars, at Henry and Greenwich streets at around 6 p.m.

One person died in the crash, and several other people were hurt. 

Nassau County sources tell News 12 that as many as seven people were transported to the hospital "in very serious condition."  It is not known if the person who died was one of those people.
