A hit-and-run crash Saturday in Port Jefferson Station left a 54-year-old man seriously hurt, according to police.

Authorities say Carl Vario was crossing Route 112 struck when the car struck him and left the scene.

Vario has since been hospitalized for treatment.

The suspect remains at large as of Monday morning.
