Man accused in killing of Yorktown teen makes first court appearance in Chicago

A pedestrian is dead after a crash in North Bellmore on Monday, according to police.

Police say the 71-year-old man was struck by a Jeep at the intersection of Frisch Place and Newbridge Road.

The victim suffered severe head trauma and was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital.

The 65-year-old driver remained on the scene.
