Police: 2-car crash in Massapequa critically injures driver

Police say the two vehicles were traveling on Merrick Road when they collided at the intersection of Joludow Drive around 8:30 p.m. Thursday.

Police say one person is in critical condition following a two-car crash in Massapequa on Thursday night.
Police say two vehicles were traveling on Merrick Road when they collided at the intersection of Joludow Drive around 8:30 p.m.
The first vehicle was operated by a male, 74, traveling westbound. Police say the second vehicle was operated by a male, 56, traveling eastbounnd.
The 74-year-old male sustained serious injuries and was transported to the hospital, where he is listed in critical condition.
The second male, 56, was transported to the hospital with minor injuries to his wrist.
Merrick Road has reopened in both directions between Arlyn Road West and Joludow Drive after being closed throughout the night.
