A Connecticut music teacher who police say drove to New York to tryst with a teen he met online was arrested Tuesday when it turned out the fictional 15-year-old boy was an undercover detective posing as a teen.
Detectives say Patrick Lombardo, 47, of Bridgeport, sent the would be victim sexually explicit messages for several weeks. Police say Lombardo then tried to arrange a meeting with the supposed boy.
Lombardo was arrested in a sting operation at an undisclosed location and was charged with two counts of distributing indecent material to a minor and three counts of endangering the welfare of a child.
He was arraigned Wednesday at First District Court in Hempstead.
