A manhunt is underway for a suspect who injured two police officers during a shootout in Malverne on Sunday, police say.

Police tell News 12 the incident started Sunday when officers tried to arrest the driver of a BMW wanted for fleeing police.

They say that person intentionally crashed into two police cars - injuring two officers.

Multiple shots were fired during the incident but there is no word if anyone was hurt.

The driver hasn't been found, but the car was located in New Jersey.
